30 Day Challenge

Dustin and I don't have cable, actually we have less than basic channels. Because of that, we watch a lot of Netflix. Due to the lack of options we end up watching the same three shows over and over and over. Once we started quoting the shows we knew we had to stop. Dustin showed me this clip that I love.

So we decided to do our own 30 day challenge. The challenge is this - to watch educational shows for 30 days. We wanted to actually get something out of our TV watching. We aren't super strict, we are able to watch something "just for fun" if we can't take another documentary.

So far the challenge has gone really well and we hope to continue it after the month is up. We've both learned a lot and the shows we've watched have sparked great conversations between us.

Here are just some of the topics that we know a little more about:
  • Raccoons
  • Prohibition (it was 6 hours...6 hours!!)
  • the Vatican
  • Genetics
  • Babies
  • Jamestown
  • Terracotta Warriors
  • Cars
  • Food production
  • Gladiators
  • How to be happy
  • King Tut
We're still not done and we're excited to watch and learn even more. Now if we could only decide on which one to watch...
